To begin with, the Eight Extraordinary Channels were philosophical concepts related to human existence. The sages of antiquity were able to observe the patterns or sets of functions reflected in spiritual and physical worlds and organize those patterns into a beautiful system of the Eight Extraordinary Channels. The sets of functions performed by the Eight Extraordinary Channels is primarily related to the survival and adaptation of species, birth, growth, maturity, decline, sexual function and issues of identity. We suggest to look at them as vibrational frequencies that can bring change in persons electromagnetic field. By learning to meditate on the meridians, we can create the change in our electromagnetic field. That change will then manifest as change in our body function, body appearance, change in mental experiences. MRIs can document the changes of the brain during meditation and identify the likely correlated behavioral and physical shifts. The system of the Eight Extraordinary Channels is one of the easiest to learn. And it is the one that creates the most profound effect on our body and our mind.
