We, Wendy and Tanya, are both acupuncturists and love acupuncture. Still, there are specific advantages to meditating on channels, rather than receiving acupuncture. Once you learn to meditate on a channel, you have that with you 100% of the time. If you are in need, you can activate the channels of your choice. You learn to change yourself and address your issues. In the long run, while someone else can offer you treatment or professional support or friendship, we are each ultimately responsible for our own selves. Meditation on the extraordinary channels helps us develop inner wisdom and reduce dependence on others care.

It is a common conception that we humans are our physical selves, and ourpersonalities are based in the brain. Kirlian Photography demonstrates the existence of energy fields surrounding living beings. Simpler beings, such as leaves, to complex beings, such as humans, are all surrounded by energy. Meditation can adjust or reprogram the energetic field around the body. Acupuncture meridians are energetic pathways that exist in the energetic field around each person and penetrate that individual’s physical body as well. The specific action of the various acupuncture meridians have been studied for thousands of years. By learning to meditate on the meridians, we can create change in our energy field, as well as our body. MRIs can document the changes of the brain during meditation and identify the likely correlated behavioral and physical shifts. By focusing on the Eight Extraordinary Meridians of Acupuncture, we use a complete system that addresses all components of a person’s emotional being. After learning to differentiate the energy and effects associated with each of the extraordinary channels, one can choose a channel to meditate on that has the capacity to address the specific emotional or spiritual issues one wishes to address.
